Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh

Mountains are the "beginning and end of all-natural scenery." The design of JK Clarks symbolizes the saying. Perched on the hillside of Shaildhar Mountain range, stands an outstanding retreat for the tourists of the hill station of Dalhousie. The high-end hotel mirrors the splendour of its unspoiled location and the charm of the British Raj. Located amidst beautiful lush green hills and mystical woods, it is counted among the best hotels in Dalhousie.
Located on a steep hillside, the design was formulated with a reception on the top floor and rooms on subsequent lower floors. The unique attic-styled reception with pale wooden flooring, exposed rafters and large glass windows, gives the reminiscence of a vintage European hotel.
The open terrace restaurant in front of the reception is one of the primary features of the building. The open seating space is surrounded by lush green mountains, orchards and pine-scented air which instantly rejuvenate the mind and elevate the ambience of the hotel.
The hotel has been designed with 44 rooms and 5 suites. Other facilities include a conference and party hall for get-togethers and functions, a bar cum restaurant and a health club. The parking space is at road level with reception atop and rooms beneath respectively. Refined, tastefully decorated rooms have balconies with mountain views while suites have been articulated with separate living rooms.
The balconies to all rooms have been oriented diagonally such that every room captures the picturesque beauty of the hills towards the north.
Situated at a rather secluded space, away from the commercial areas of the town, the hotel enjoys a quiet and serene atmosphere and is a perfect bet for a weekend getaway!
